HOT Hot hot sauce!  About three weeks ago we received a bag of hot peppers from our farmers.  All summer I loved adding them to any dish possible, but with this large of a quantity I knew I had to preserve them some how.  After checking out a few recipes online, I decided I could easily make hot sauce.  Now that it has had some time to settle, I can verify that it is smokin’ with flavor. Spicy Chinese Cabbage

When my husband returned from the Peace Corps, he had been eating a few staple crops for the last two years.  For most of the local dishes, he had no desire to bring them to our dinner table, but then there was fried cabbage.   It is a simple dish but we love it.  So when we got a head of Chinese cabbage from our CSA I was excited.  (more…)

The breakfast of champions is a perfect way to start your day.  We never worry about the greens from the CSA piling up because it just means we get to eat this for breakfast.  While any greens will do, I love the way this sautéed rainbow swiss chard goes with poached eggs.  I firmly believe a poached egg belongs on a bed of greens so please enjoy a weekend brunch with this one.

We had been piling up radishes from the CSA for weeks and I was searching for what to do with them besides adding them to salads.  After visiting a local restaurant that serves yuppy tacos, some of which include radishes, I decided that it was the perfect option.  Granted I cooked the radishes instead of using them raw and it was yummy.
